FIND YOUR RESTORE DISC
Is it time to restore your computer? What is a computer restore disc? A computer restore disc restores your computer back to factory default. It will take your computer back to how it was when you first purchased it. A restore disc can come in handy if you want to wipe everything on your computer and start fresh or if your computer crashed and you need to restore it to working order. In many new computers today, a restore program will already be installed and you do not need to order a restore disc. Some computers do not have this restore program or you may have lost the restore disc that did come with your computer. In that case, you will need to order a restore disc from the manufacturer.
Please have your serial and model numbers available when you order restore discs. That information is generally located on the bottom or back of your computer. If requesting a restore disc from Dell, you will need the Service Tag and Express Service Codes, which are located on the bottom or back of your computer.
